The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati, Ohio remanded for further findings the case of United States v. Darin McAllister. Travis tried the case to a jury in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, hanging the jury on a count of bank fraud. Though the jury convicted on other charges, the case was remanded based on possibly impermissible use of race by the government as a basis for striking prospective jurors during selection.
